Canadian Osteoarthritis Research Program (CORP)
The Canadian Osteoarthritis Research Program (CORP) is comprised of a team of individuals with common interests and expertise in musculoskeletal conditions, joint replacement surgery, aging, pain, fatigue/sleep and mental health.
Our goal is to reduce the impact of osteoarthritis (OA) in people living with this condition by increasing our understanding of:
- Predictors of disability in OA
- Patient and provider characteristics that determine optimal care, including use of total joint replacement (TJR) surgery
- Economic consequences of OA to the person, caregivers, and the health care system, including wait times
- Determinants, consequences and time course of pain in OA, with a focus on inter-relationships among pain, fatigue and mental health
