Mood Medication Use and Osteoarthritis
We are also interested in looking at the use of mood-altering drugs among individuals living with OA. The data collected during the previous cohort study (1995-2003) has been linked with health care utilization data, (i.e., CIHI, OHIP, and ODB) at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES). This project will examine patterns of medication use, including the prevalence of prescription medications for mood disorders, among elderly individuals with OA and factors that predict certain patterns of use.
